The Hercules Dualpix HD720p for Notebooks is a 720p high-definition webcam. This camera is really good for the price and has a sleek design that makes it aesthetically appealing as well. It does have a rather narrow image field, which is completely fine for one person but you may need additional gear if you want to comfortably fit two people in the picture. The software isn’t the greatest and zoom presents a second problem. The picture quality, however, is great. The Dualpix captures video at 30 frames per second and produces video resolution at 1280 × 720pixels. HD720p signifies a High-Definition (HD) image format, otherwise known as "HD Ready" in TV parlance. "720" represents an image resolution of 1280 × 720 pixels, while the abbreviation "p" is used to designate progressive scanning of the image (i.e. no interlacing). The camera also features Automatic adjustment of focus, allowing a face or object to always remain clear according to its distance from the webcam. Although it is made for the notebook, it can just as easily be used with a desktop computer and LCD monitor. This is an absolutely great buy. MSRP of $50.
