Does your mind sometimes go blank when you belly up to the bar and you're not in the mood for your usual? Let's be real, it can be embarrassing guessing and getting served some neon-pink drink. You want a sure thing but you also need something a bit more, well, manly. A drink that won't make your buddies raise their eyebrows when you order. And while there are hundreds of 'manly' drinks out there, here are ten macho mixed drinks that are sure to impress your friends and, hopefully, the cute bartender. Bottoms up.

Kamikaze

The name alone sounds like a macho drink. Made with five different types of liquor, throwing back a few of these , while remaining on your feet, is a truly herculean task.

1 1/4 oz vodka 1 1/4 oz lime juice
1 1/4 oz triple sec

• Shake all ingredients together, pour it into a shot glass and serve.

Captain and Coke

The always popular Captain and Coke is a classic combo. While any brand of rum and cola will suffice, the original pairing of Captain Morgan and Coca-Cola will always taste the sweetest.

1 1/2 oz Captain Morgan(r) Original Spiced Rum
4 oz Coca- Cola(r)

Jag Bombs

Made famous by college frat boys, nothing gets the party started like Jag Bombs. The highly caffeinated Red Bull(r) helps counteract depressant effects of the alcohol. Proceed with caution, but party all night.

1/2 can Red Bull
1 to 2 oz of Jagermeister(r) herbal liqueur

• Pour the energy drink into a glass, to desired level. Fill shot glass with Jagermeister(r). Drop shot glass into Red Bull and drink immediately.

Martini

James Bond's drink of choice, enough said.

1 1/2 oz gin 1 dash orange bitters
1/2 oz dry vermouth Olives to garnish

• Note: James Bond actually drinks a vodka martini, so to truly replicate the great 007 substitute the gin for vodka. Stir ingredients with ice and then strain into a martini glass. (It is suggested you make this drink with quality liquor, which is normally smoother, since there are few flavor add-ins to dilute the strong alcohol taste.)

Gin and Tonic

Of all gin cocktails, this one is the most iconic. There's nothing fancy about a Gin and Tonic, just honest to goodness flavor, if you use good gin, with hint of old world charm.

2 oz. gin 1 lime wedge
5 oz. tonic water

• The secret to this drink is quality gin; it will set you back a pretty penny, but will make one smooth drink. Served on the rocks.
